Day 7:
Probably the best day of the trip – Karijini National Park!
We started our tour in Hancock Gorge and climbed down a ladder into the 1 to 20 meter wide canyon. We hiked from pool to pool, through the spider walk and jumped small cliffs. After the group picture at Kermits pool we went on to the next canyon: Dales Gorge. A beautiful waterfall (Joffre Falls) with a natural pool to chill and some higher cliffs to jump – loved it.
Though everyone was tired from playing outside the whole day we made it to stay up till 12 in our snake-camp to celebrate Jessis birthday!
Day 8:
… started as good as day 7! We hiked down to the Fortescue Falls, were we chilled at a beautiful natural pool with a massage-waterfall. After we visited Karijini Visitor Centre in the afternoon we got on our beloved busses again – off to Newman, as miner as it gets.
After putting up our tents we went to the Newman Pub, and as there were more girls in our group than ever lived in Newman we all got cheap-drink-stamps from the owner. Happy miners, happy us – party hard in Newman!
